A Canadian citizen originally from Togo, West Africa, Sergio Erico is a poet, singer-songwriter, slam artist, and the Founder and President of Xlétivi Records, a production company based in his homeland dedicated to promoting and developing African musical talent. He is also a member of the Cultural Policy Development Committee for the Regional Municipality of Grand Falls and serves on the Board of Directors for the Société Culturelle Régionale Les Chutes in Grand Falls. Through his audio works and his poetry and slam workshops in New Brunswick schools, he leaves a positive impact on young minds while continuously enriching his artistic world by taking part in numerous cultural projects. For instance, in August 2024, he had the honor of participating in the first artistic residency at the 2024 Congrès Mondial Acadien and was featured in Phil Comeau's film Résonance Acadie. At the end of 2024, he was also named one of the top 30 francophones under 30 recognized for their achievements and community involvement.
