NIGEL P. JENKINS

Nigel Jenkins is an artist manager, record label owner, and music industry leader based in Steady Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. He is the founder of Laughing Heart Music, a full-service music company that represents award-winning artists including Rum Ragged, Inn Echo, and Daniel James McFadyen. Through Laughing Heart Music, Nigel works across artist management, music publishing, and record label services.

Nigel holds a law degree from Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and a Certificate in Entertainment Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. He currently serves as Past Chair of the Board of Directors for MusicNL following five and a half years as Board Chair, and previously served on the Board of Directors of the East Coast Music Association from 2021 to 2023.

Beyond the music sector, Nigel has served as a Town Councilor for the Town of Steady Brook, and has sat on the Board of Directors of Trailhead Development Company, a not-for-profit organization advancing rural economic development in Parson's Pond, Newfoundland and Labrador.
